I’m Alec - the owner and creative mind of Adlay Floral. I was born and raised here in the midlands of SC and have been happily married to the love of my life and best friend since 2013.

Design has always been a passion of mine and I love to create and bring joy to others. Through high school and college, working in the family printing business gave me an outlet to use my talents through graphic design. Assisting engaged couples with choosing invitation suites, colors, motifs and styles ignited a passion for the wedding world that I couldn’t ignore. After planning and flowering my own wedding, I later did the same for my sister and best friend’s weddings. My husband and many others saw how fulfilling floral work was for me and encouraged me to start my own business. What began as a hobby blossomed through word of mouth and a few starter events and we are still growing as of today. Flowers can so effectively tell stories, transform spaces, reveal emotions, recall memories, and create so much joy in all circumstances and chapters of life. God has blessed me with a passion and gift of serving people through flowers that I intend to use as long as He will lead me.
My late grandmama Betty is the inspiration behind the name Adlay Floral. Her middle name before she married, was Adlay. So unique and beautiful, just like her. To know her was to love her.
It was a thrill to adventure around my grandparents yard and see what new blooms and surprises awaited. The smells and colors of dianthus, gardenias, azaleas and magnolia will forever be a fond memory. I admired grandmama for her strength, kindness, and passion for God. I’ll always aspire to be more like her, showing Jesus’ grace, love and compassion to all.

Alec went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. I didn’t really have a vision at first, but she took the little bit of what I said I wanted and turned it into something more beautiful than I imagined. I can’t recommend Adlay enough! Wedding days and planning are stressful enough, but this was the one thing I didn’t stress over. Alec is very kind, professional, and responds promptly. I loved my flowers so much I had them preserved to keep forever.
